Tough decision?  Not really, seen in the global picture; but in this context – very tough!

We are addressing this question in order to help you make an informed choice.

HOW IMPORTANT IS YOUR LAUNDRY NOW?

We are all very grateful that the hospitality industry is gradually re-opening. 

The question is: How are we going to deal with the Covid pandemic in our laundries in the
hospitality industry and what should we be doing now in preparation?

While your establishment is in the gradual process of re-opening there are a number of
activities that should take place:

I can laugh about it now – but at the time I was offended and very prickly for a while.  You see, I had assumed
I knew everything about laundry and could tell anyone how to clean anything!

WRONG.

This is the question of the day. Where would you go if you could go anywhere? Let your imagination run wild.

Really – where would you go – if there was no social distancing and all the other rules that apply in a pandemic?
The wonderful thing is, there is no right or wrong answer.

NEW YEAR, NEW DECADE

Welcome to the new decade! 

Goodness, you might say, what happened to welcoming the New Year?  My answer – a New Decade calls for a greater amount of mental preparation and planning – mental fitness, as well as resilience. 

We face trying times as a planet, never mind as a country.  Two options are open to us at such times – to turn our backs and shrug off all responsibility, or to face the challenges as they arrive; embracing the change that is necessary for us to triumph.  At Linen Drawer we are facing up to our responsibilities and flexing our ‘change-muscles’, ready for the future.

GIFTS POSSIBLE AND PLEASING

The giving season has arrived with a flurry of tinsel and a tinkle of “Feliz Navidad”.

I have always believed, where possible, in giving gifts that I would actually also like to receive. I often have a twinge of jealousy when giving a gift, only to realise how wonderful it feels when that person says “how did you know I’ve always wanted one?”

At Linen Drawer we have anticipated the frustrations of our clients at not finding those perfect gifts, and would like to offer some suggestions:

Wrap me in Harmony

Linen Drawer stands for sleeping comfort.  Comfort is the physical manifestation of harmony. Harmony is the alignment of our minds and bodies with the universe and everything around us.

Often used in musical terms, the word ‘harmony’ has become a catch-phrase for our age.

We strive for harmony in all aspects of our lives – so when it came to naming our newest blanket, we at Linen Drawer named it the Harmony Blanket. 

Sleeping Comfort

Introducing Linen Drawer’s newest product – PURE COTTON DUVET INNERS!

I have been privileged to own one of these duvet inners for a while now, and I can honestly say that my sleeping life has changed!  Having a ‘hot’ sleeping partner is great, but not a joke when they are always too warm and you are always too cold.

I am fortunate to own pure cotton bedding, and can testify to the joys of a 100% pure cotton duvet inner!

A Heart full of Courage

In the age we live in, courage seems a slightly old-fashioned virtue.  Courage requires you to acknowledge the risks and perils, your own weakness or inability, yet to persevere despite everything against you. 

Raising a child, being a father, requires large dollops of courage, blind faith and nerves of steel.  It was Barack Obama who said “Any fool can have a child. That doesn’t make you a father. It’s the courage to raise a child that makes you a father”. As a second-hand observer of fatherhood, that seems absolutely true!
