WELCOME PEACH FUZZ!

What a name for a colour that is not really peachy or fuzzy!
The Pantone colour for 2024 was announced at the end of 2023. It is Pantone Peach Fuzz – #13-1023.
Peach Fuzz is an expression in colour of a mood.
The desire for a safe haven.
It is a cheerful warm blend of orange and pink that is sheer décor dopamine. Adding a cheerful splash of colour to any décor scheme, Peach Fuzz is playful and warm, setting a hopeful mood for the year ahead.
The shade is meant to feel nurturing; reflecting the trends that spark well-being and mindfulness. It is a comforting colour, perfect for overall use or only in an accent area. Peach Fuzz brings sunlight into the darkest room – a pop of this colour will elevate your dark, moody scheme as well as bring necessary light and contrast to it.
It is seldom that such a nourishing colour has been chosen and it reflects global trends towards self-care, search for balance and conscious connections.
Interestingly, using Peach Fuzz in the workspace is inspirational; as peachy/orangey warm tones are uplifting and encourage creative thoughts in an atmosphere of collaboration and freedom from stress.

Peach Fuzz is unashamedly youthful. As spontaneous as a hug it reflects our yearning for connection and closeness.
Using this colour alongside terracotta or deep reds also lends unexpected interest – forcing us to look at the mild colour again. Alongside neutrals like grey, stone, taupe and black, Peach Fuzz is interesting and modern. Minimal use, has a potent effect – think of a bunch of peachy roses in a blue or green themed room scheme.
At Linen Drawer we acknowledge the power of Peach Fuzz, but will probably not be introducing a range of bed linen in this colour. However, we will use it to embellish and customise bed linen and towels with satin stitch and embroidery.
With Peach Fuzz’s uplifting and energising benefits, it’s sure to become one of my favourite colours this year!
